Dear YLP Community,
In light of the recent Ferguson Fire's growth encroachment on the western boundary of Yosemite, we wanted to let you know that all of the YLP summer interns have been evacuated and are safely out of the park. The university has provided housing for those who did not already have a place to return to. Each intern will be able to complete final projects remotely or have been invited back in the fall to work with their supervisors. We will host the annual YLPSI Symposium in early September at UC Merced for interns to share their experience. Stay posted for an official date and location for this event, and thank you for your patience in the midst of extreme environmental circumstances.
