Dear YLP family and friends,
If you haven't already heard, Yosemite National Park will be celebrating 150 years of protection as a natural legacy to our nation on Monday, June 30th. And guess what... YOU'RE INVITED!!! The Education Branch of Yosemite National Park is inviting all of us for the Voices of Youth Event from 1:00pm to 2:30pm on June 30th. There will be presentations from various youth leaders, including our very own 2014 YLP summer interns. And Director of the National Park Service, John Jarvis, will be celebrating with us!
The Program will be held at the Yosemite Elementary School field in Yosemite Valley. Lunch and cake will be provided for everyone! You'll want to arrive to the park as early as 8am since traffic will only get heavier as the day goes on. Everyone who comes for this event will have their entrance fee waived!
If you plan to represent YLP at this event, please email me ASAP. If there are any of you who would be willing to drive, we'll begin to set up a carpool list. Also let me know if you are in need of a ride and I'll do my best to coordinate one for you.
This is a huge honor, so wear your YLP and UC Merced shirts. Please share this opportunity with all of your friends! Contact me with any questions.
