WELCOME BACK UC MERCED!!!
The Yosemite Leadership Program is getting ramped up for another incredible year. Already, current participants have gathered together for YLP awareness projects in the form chalk murals at bus stops and bike paths. An epic water balloon fight broke out at a participant instigated BBQ. And many have been promoting the informational session occuring tonight, August 29th from 6:30 to 8:00pm in the new Student Activities and Athletics Center. We expect many students from the summer orientations, YLP poster sitings, and chalk mural initiatives to be in attendance.
YLP applications for the Two Year Leadership Experience will be received until Sept. 13th as a committee will select the new YLP cohort on Sept. 14th. The first meeting for new participants will occur Sept. 19th, and YLP will start with a BANG!!! Participants will enter into a world of leadership, team building, environmental, and uniquely adventurous experiences novel to the university experience.
